State of the art manufacturer has an opportunity to for an experienced ERP SPECIALIST at their Corporate Office.  This is very much a high profile position giving you good advancement opportunities with a growing company with a steady pattern of expansions & acquisitions. 
The ERP Specialist is responsible for the strategic sourcing of assigned components, commodities, & perishables using Sage 500 at the Corporate Level.  As part of the Purchasing team, you’ll report to the Corporate Supply Chain Manager and together, you’ll define and implement strategies for seeking new vendors in line with plant and overall procurement initiatives.  These procedures will be implemented in the plants company-wide, so this is your opportunity to work with a great team and set precedent.
To be considered for this ERP Specialist position, you’ll need at least 3 years’ of experience in purchasing/sourcing commodities – especially perishables and products with time-sensitive expiry dates in a manufacturing & production plant.  To take complete advantage of the opportunities with this expanding company, you’ll a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a business discipline.
At the core of this ERP Specialist position, you‘ll be responsible for monitoring the ERP system and interacting with all departments and vendors.  This will involve interaction with Scheduling, Production, Quality, Warehouse & Transportation, and the Accounting departments.  You’ll work with vendors, sourcing the best product at the best price that will be delivered when needed.  This is a very hands-on, detail oriented, multi-tasking position.

Your daily activities as the ERP Specialist will have you working with the scheduling group to ensure products are available for production runs.  Interact with the quality group to ensure the products purchased adhere to the set quality specs.  Communicate with accounting to ensure the paperwork is correct for the vendors to receive payment.  Help IT to ensure the inventory processes are accurately accounted.  You will be monitoring the ERP system every day by running reports, identifying issues and working with the vendors, scheduling, production, & warehousing to resolve issues.
