Stable manufacturer of building products has an opportunity to for an experienced Purchasing Manager.  This is very much a high profile position giving you good advancement opportunities with a growing company.   The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the strategic sourcing of assigned components at the Plant.  As part of the Purchasing team, you will define and implement strategies for seeking new vendors in line with plant and overall procurement initiatives.  Your ability to multitask & communicate well will help you work with multiple groups in fast paced environment.  We need a self-motivated, ethical, team oriented, and quality minded individual who can focus on purchasing efficiencies as they are committed to continuous improvements.

To be considered for this Purchasing Manager’s position, you’ll need the following education, experience, & skills:
  • Bachelors’ degree in preferably a business discipline
  • Professional certification ISM:  APP, CPM, or CPSM  
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement & supply chain  experience
  • Management or supervision experience of purchasing
  • Must be a proficient user of ERP & MRP systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent decision making, problem solving, teaming, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience in wood technology, furniture, wood building products highly preferred.
